Two square samples mounted on card with graph paper threading and treadling charts. Both samples are woven with woolen beige and pink yarns. Beige yarn is two ply S twist. Pink yarn is two ply S twist wool wrapped with pearly pink rayon singles. Weave structure shows two warp sets, one beige, one pink and beige. Pink honeycomb-like pattern sits in relief from beige background. All edges raw cut. Number tag reads :BESS HULT / 1950"...View Full Record

Sample, woven 86.2.058a
Two embroidered panels sewn together along center. Each panel depicts a peacock and other birds in a landscape with white flowers. All are embroidered with very fine threads and much detail on a grey background. Thread colors include metallic gold, blues, greens, browns, reds and white. Each panel has a black border with blue embroidered flowers. There is also a light blue lining hand stitched to the back.
