Cloth Fragment 87.6.86a,b
Fragement "a" is large and rectangular. Fragment "b" is L-shaped. Both in greenish yellow shiny synthetic yarns and cotton. Design of light and dark horizontal bands with darker bands in twill. Repeat of one wide dark band flanked by two narrow dark bands. Warp consits of cotton and synthetic yarns in three weights and varying plys and twists. Weft is same. Selvedges and raw edges. Old paper tag attached to "a" inscribed in ink: "L.41.62.1" Old catalog card reads: "Originally had label reading 'berta frey handwoven fabrics instruction' " and "Date of Mfr: 1941."...View Full Record
