Why buy lotion in the store when you can make your own at home and have fun doing it?  In this class you’ll learn how to formulate a lotion that will be silky smooth, moisturizing and that soaks in to your skin quickly. You’ll learn what butters and oils work best for your skin, emulsification, and the importance of preservatives in handmade lotion. You will have the option to use goat milk in your lotion and we will discuss the pros and cons of its use in handmade bath & beauty products. There will be many fragrances to choose from or you can leave your lotion unscented if you prefer.

All students will go home with four 8 ounce bottles of lotion, along with a list of wholesalers for bottles, pumps, fragrances and other ingredients to easily purchase so you can make more at home. Also included will be a chart of preservatives, a body lotion recipe and instructions.
