In this wood carving class, students will learn to carve, paint, and finish a wall hanging of a favorite among the River birds, the common loon. We’ll focus on learning the basic carving cuts, while stressing safety in the use of the knives and equipment.  There will be demonstrations at each step of the carving process so students can see how the steps are completed before they begin.  Each student will leave class with a completed project and a great knowledge of carving, safety, and tools to use at home.  All materials will be provided, but please bring a bag lunch and a drink.

Admission Fee:$63 member/$70 nonmember
