Composition is the art of imposing order and structure on the natural world.  Composing a picture – deciding where to put the edges of the photographic frame and how to arrange the elements within it - must be a conscious act on the part of the photographer. In this class you will learn many of the basic rules and guidelines of photographic composition, including the rule of thirds, leading lines, use of foreground, layers, and many more. Many examples will be presented and discussed. After the formal presentation we will then visit the Clayton waterfront to practice newly learned compositional techniques. Please bring your camera and manual to class. Chris’ work can be viewed at www.chrismurrayphotography.com
